dc.description.abstract Over 50 years ago, Jaspers tried to find an origin of human’s knowledge. This trail is called a beginning of globalization. He made an idea of “world philosophy”, but he could not finish realizing the idea and he was able to develop it. As for Jaspers’ philosophers, his idea of “world philosophy” is an important issue these days. Some researchers pointed out two features in terms of Jaspers’ world philosophy. Firstly, the world philosophy awakened a necessity of new perspectives toward non-european cultural areas. Secondly, it prompted the significance of seeking of universal communications from fixed views of values, especially traditional religious values, such as Christianity. In this paper, validity of his universal communication is analyzed in the field of Japanese society in which people communicate with each other in different style, comparing with “dialogue” of western culture. en
